With E911 requirements, I know my new 6103 has some form of locator device
in it. Does anyone know if it's the GPS or tower-triangulation type? If
it's GPS, is there a (Java?) application out there to let me actually get my
location using the phone?
And thanks.

Re: GPS in 6013
Most of the work with celluar tower triangulation is being done in
Europe. Rest assured that if they use this method in the United States,
then we would be the last people to know it. Crimes like drug
trafficking and gang activities are aided by the use of cell phones and
most of these people would be cautious to use them for that purpose if
they knew that they could be tracked by location. The phones may have
menu selections that support location services but most service
providers have no information about these features in the customer
service support databases.
