I'm trying to update the software on my N95 but every time I install and try
to run the Updater I get "Critical Components are missing. Please
    Reinstall".

Any ideas what I need to do?

    Thanks

no it wont, you will be charged to update your phone, unless there is
    a fault with it..

So you need to do a bit of research to find out what bugs the latest
firmware release has fixed. That then provides you with the "fault"
that you ask them to fix.

Ok, I had the same problem. Tried to uninstall, reinstall, reboot pc,
uninstall nokia pc suit, reinstall pc suit, bang my head against the
    wall. Nothing worked untill.........

    1. wiped NSU off my PC completely. Although I did keep the
    "NokiaSoftwareUpdaterSetup_en.exe" on my desktop.

    2. downloaded an old version of NSU. It can be found here:

    http://www.qalansawa.net/NokiaSoftwa...erSetup_en.exe

    3. I then ran the setup for the old NSU. Once setup was complete, I
tried to launch it. It gave me the option of updating it to the new
version or exiting out of the program. I chose to exit out of the
    program.

    4. I then ran the setup for the new version of NSU. The one that I kept
on my desktop as mentioned in point 1.

    5. It went through its usual installation and then to my amazement,
BINGO! it worked. I have no idea why it worked but its the only thing
    that has.

Hopefully it works for you too!!
