Has anyone else had this problem or know what could be going on?
I have a 3510i and have been trying for months to download a poly ringtone
onto it.
I have tried various suppliers of the tones, however every time I try and
open the wap URL they supply it get the
"no response, try again" message or "time out".
I have tried it on different network providers, O2 (UK), Orange(UK) using
their wap settings and get the same response. The only thing I am not
varying is the phone itself?
Does anyone have any thoughts on what it might be?
regards
Peter

thanks Dave.
its a pay monthly phone on Orange, and I've tried my work pay monthly 02 sim
as well.
Do you have to have GPRS enabled to download p.tones or will standard WAP
suffice?

Even if you do get a tone to your phone i guarantee you'll be disappointed.
3510 (and indeed 7210,7250,etc) can only play 4 instruments at once compared
to most other which do 16 and even 40 on the latest samsungs (and 7650). The
upshot of it all is it'll sound nothing like what its supposed to unless
specifically designed for 4 channels.

Are both SIMs data enabled?
I know this sounds odd, but during the past 18 months I've encountered
three new O2 *contract* SIMs that haven't been data enabled. One was
actually sold with a GSM 'modem' card and bought specifically for data
calls.
Simple test: can you make WAP calls?
BTW, I have some free Nokia 3510i wallpapers at:
