Hi Friends!
A friend of mine wants to use his Nokia 3510i as modem so he's able to
connect to the internet with his notebook. The 3510i is GPRS-able.
There exisits no official data cable but it's possible to buy one from
an external manufactor. The problem is that nokia doesn't offer a
modem driver.
Is it possible to use another compatible modem driver to do that or
does anybody know a download link where we can get a modem driver for
this model?
tnx
Jens

There's a very good reason for that - the 3510 hasn't got a modem!

yes, the 3510/3510i does not have the hardware to support a modem.

The 3510 doesn't have a data interface officially but you can buy a
cable from another manufactor. With this cable you can backup and edit
phonebook entries, send SMS etc. although it's not supported
officially.

I deduce that nokia wants to sell the more expensive models to people
who need those features although the simpler models have those
features too. Not more.

Err... No, it hasn't! WAP & GPRS, yes, but no modem I'm afraid.
