How do i check which firmware version i have in my Nokia 3510i

also i read that to update it i should take it to a Nokia service
center ....do they charge for this ?

i have v 04.01 can you tell me what the changes are in the latest
update i think v04.44 ? i would like to know if it is possible to
assign a downloaded ringtone to a certain contact number as i cant
seem to do it in the version i have
