I purchased a Nokia 6310i on ebay about 2 months ago, the guy sold a few of
these phones, including one to me.
I had another buyer e-mail me to say his phone would not work after about a
month of owning it and he asked if mine was still working, I had not used it
for a while so tried my orange sim in the phone, it came up " sim card
registration failed" I decided to try my T-mobile sim, that worked fine as
does the orange sim in another phone.
do you think that T-mobile will eventually bar the phone because it is a
stolen phone? and is there anyway of getting the phone to work with my
    orange sim?

    any help will be appreciated
Don't ever buy phones from ebay it's not worth it!

    hi mick,

i emailed O2 about the situation of my 8310 saying the same, and got the
    following reply:

    --
I am sorry that you are having problems with this aspect of the
service. The Nokia 8310 may be latched to another network. If this is
the case then you will need the NCK code or (unlatching code) from the
    network that it was with.
    --

not sure what the MCK is though or how to get it.

    Regards,

    Liam

The NCK is the network unlock code and nothing to do with blacklisting, it's
just a standard reply from a CS muppet.

It was after I bought the phone that I found out it could have been stolen,
funny thing is, it came with instructions, cd rom, charger and the box, it
really didn't seem to be a stolen phone with all of that sort of stuf coming
    with it.
