Whenever I reveive a picture message through the Belgian Nokia-shop, my
mobile just crashes. The screen stays black and it's impossible to switch it
on. The only thing possible is to have it reflashed. I've already had my
mobile replaced. The pictures can be received with my 3210 though. The only
thing is that they don't have a description.
Is this some known problem in the software? It seems quite strange that I'd
receive two faulty 3510i. Nokia claims they don't know of any problem...

That's intriguing...especially as happens on two mobiles.
What is the sw version (*#0000#)
It sounds like you are receiving picture messages designed for DCT3 on a
DCT4 and that is what is crashing the phone.
I may test that tomorrow and see. 3210 pictures are not meant for a
3510i - but interesting it makes the phone crash...
If Nokia are smart (they will be alerted now) they will run tests and it
will be fixed in later sw - for they won't want to alert users to faulty
3510i mobiles as it is costly to fix. You can bet if 4.24 is faulty, it
will be fixed in 4.25 if so...
I shall see if the case tomorrow. However, most people don't try and
download 3210/3310 pix on a 3510i - but interesting anyway

So does this also mean that anybody using a DCT3 could crash a 3510i simply
    by sending a picture :-s ??
