Nokia's official site gives that the 128MB memory card is only compatible
with the 3300. http://www.nokia.com/nokia/0,5184,5987,00.html
Some people have said that it can be placed in the N-Gage as well. What
about the 6600 and other phones?
Can someone hope that if a current or future phone takes the 64MB MC, it can
also take th 128MB one?

128MB should work happily in a 3650, and I see no reason for it not to work
in any other phone.
Reasons for the above page? in order of likelihood. <sarcasm>
1. Nokia have no idea what they are talking about.
2. It's a typo, and no one was smart enough to notice.
3. they simply haven't tested it with the other phones yet. the 30 seconds
it takes to test compatibility must be sacrificed in order to decide what
colour the memory card should be.
4. Nokia have realised that no-one wants to buy nokia MMC cards, they'll all
buy cheaper ones from memory card manufacturers, so they didn't spend much
time putting the listing together.
5. Nokia can't accept that people might need more storage in the other
phones, after all 16MB is enough - after they spent all that time making
sure the video recorder couldn't do more than 10 second clips (which take 60
seconds to save) who would have enough time to take enough videos to fill
it? </sarcasm>
yes it should be compatible. The card slot is an MMC card slot, so if any
MMC card doesn't work in there, then raise holy hell. it wouldn't surprise
me if something didn't work, it wouldn't be the first time nokia had tried
to close off an open standard, (BT for starters)

Ohh yess.
the SD card slot on my PDA can quite happily accept me taking the card out
whether the device is on or off, but nokia think its a good idea to hide the
'removable storage' behind the battery. makes it a little difficult to
'change the tape' in the middle of a busy high street.
the extra nothing of thickness, and tiny part of programming that would have
been needed to make the card read SD cards too, would make no difference. an
SD card reader will happliy read MMC too, but an MMC reader is MMC alone.
rather than kill two birds with one stone, nokia decide thay are better off
giving one bird a minor concussion.
the 3650 was quite a major dissappointment in many areas, so many better
ways it could be done. but even the 6600 is not enough of an improvent to
really warrant the upgrade.
I'm due to upgrade between now and march (contract due in march, so maybe a
handset advertised now will be available by then) but it is looking ever
more likely that this will be my first phone in 5 years that isn't a nokia,
and I'm not really looking forward to that. Guess I'm just too comfortable,
and now I have the nokia equivalent of DVT :-)

And since when has the 3650 worked with SD cards?
I think you'll find that it works just fine with virtually any MMC cards
you'd care to mention, but it does help if people use the correct hardware
in the first place.
