I have a nokia 3360 which was previously used with a cingular account.
At this moment I do not use it, but I want to give to a friend who
lives in another country. She already asked about this nokia 3360,
and it can be activated in her country. But they ask her that the
phone needs to be unlock, so it can be activated with another carrier.
Does someone know if this phone is locked, or it is ready to go.

Assuming her country uses the TDMA 3360 it should be OK if it came
from cingular provided that it doesn't have a SOC lock. I thought
that cingular didn't use that lock and only AT&T does. But if
cingular does have the phone SOC locked you'd have to get the code
from cingular and it's likely that they will not release the code to
    you.
