having trouble with my 8850 recently.

completely randomly it keeps dropping the signal without any reason. I'm
pretty sure its not a short anywhere cos i can just leave it sitting on the
desk and it will randomly go from full to 0 signal every few minutes. have
tried taking off the aerial and cleaning the contacts, but to no avail.

have also got a problem (may be related) that even when the signal is on
full strength I only get sound through the earpiece about 50% of the time.
seems to be every minute or so, but completely randomly and again without
warning or external influence like me moving the handset or anything.

anyone have any ideas, aside from binning it and unleashing the moths from
my wallet to get a new phone?
