6310i water damage

Hi Guys,

Long time no see.

I have a Nokia 6310i that was dropped in a puddle, I've dried it out but
every fourth row is on with about half the contrast of the normal "on"
pixels (the bottom row is one of them). I have swapped the screen part and
the PCB part with my phone (which works) and it seems the problem lies
within the PCB section of the once wet phone.

Any ideas?

My thoughts were that it is a short with one of the address lines to the
screen, but looking at it there are only about 8 connections... I had a
thought that data was transferred in nibbles (4 bits) which would explain
every fourth row at half the intensity (maybe). But I'm not sure where to
look for damage, I suspect that it is the topmost shielded part?

Do you think that I might be able to get it completely working with a little
TLC?

I don't think the water was salty, but probably had cement in it - not sure
if the lime is particularly bad.
