Just check with the local supplier and they have plenty in stock, they told
me only Telstra has approved the phone and that Optus and Vodafone have not
approved it. One rep said that Vodafone would not approve this phone even in
    the future.

I find that weird as UK Voda ppl can use MMS and GPRS,.

Do you think she her comments are true or not? Would be weird for Voda not
    to approve it.

Not true no. Vodafone New Zealand approved the 6600
3 weeks ago and are looking to have them in retail in January week 2.
Being that VFone Oz and NZ are one and the same.....

February for Vodafone Aus. Will run on port 8080 but port won't be enabled
to then, so no MMS or WAP.
If Voda AU and NZ are the same, why does NZ have HSCSD and not Aus.

I know Instantit in Brisbane are showing in stock as of today. Not sure if
they are AU models or Hong Kong Imports. check them out at
    www.instantit.com.au and search 6600.
