N-Gage unlocking question

Hey,
I recently got an N-Gage, and its a great phone/gaming deck. However its
locked to Orange UK, and nowhere around my local area knows how to unlock
it.
A friend also has one, and downloaded some software off the Internet, and
managed to unlock his with the IMEI number. But this didn't work for mine,
and I've read that you're only allowed five(5) attempts at getting this code
right.

Is this true, or am I using the wrong numbers?

use Code Calculator 2.0 by CyberGSM.
works 100% with N-gage on orange.
if ya having trouble --double and triple check you have typed in the correct
IMEI and selected orange and phone >>type 5<<
The last 12 Ngage's I have unlocked (orange) all used unlock code 7 so i
would stick with that & yes, 5 incorrect codes and your'll have to do it by
cable.

bunged the unlock proggie here under phones if you aint got it..
