Things i hate so far are;
* it resets, firmware UG should fix this
* typing sms, it assumes letters not number for the to: feild, why i dont
know! Have to long keypress to do numbers.
* fc*k - nokia still dont show default elapsed time of current call and
navigating the menu to it is a nightmare
* keylock works manualy, the only automatic option has to be set to greater
than a minuite and needs a friggn 5digit unlock number!
* the calander dosent have a BIRTHDAY option, the old nokia 7250 also keept
track of how old the person is from DOB. (you can add a single bday to a
persons name in the addbook entry)
* the SHORTCUT/FAVORITE keys dont let you create any useful shortcuts, the
only thing that had a shortcut option was sound and pics... this is a pain
in the ass!
* the navigator key only shortcuts to the addressbook and thats it!
* cant set own screesaver
ANY FIXS TO THESE WILL BE POSTED TO MY BLOG SITE AS WELLA S HELP OTHERS IN
THE NGROUPS, THANKS

Re: things i hate about my nokia 6600 so far are...
I agree with these faults, re the menu I am sure it just takes time to get
used to.
My phone does show elapsed time during a call. Go to LOG - OPTIONS -
SETTINGS - You have two settings in there, Log Duration and Show Call
Duration. Change Show Call Duration to Yes.
Some of my pet pet peeves with the phone so far -
Cell Info Wraps to the next line after 10 letters - the screen is wide
enough to have it on one line. In Australia the cell names are up to 11 so
the last letter is under the 10th letter.
If you have a profile chosen it shows where the date normally goes.
Putting in contacts - I have not figures out how to easily change the icons
on a number without putting the number in again - ie from a phone to a
mobile. On others you just went - Change Type.
Putting an address in yakes up multiple lines - Street, City etc but when
you get a business card with an address it shows up under 1 entry - Letter
Icon called address. Can not get that entering manually.
Can not edit Phone book entries using the Phone Suite software. Would be
much easier.
Have a corrupt ringtone on the phone memory - I can rename it but it will
not open, delete or move. Just comes up with an error. Someone suggested I
would have to format the memory.
Apart from these there are some great features such as
Individual ring tones for each contact if you choose
Unlimited groups
Edit Labels in Contacts
THumbnails next to name during call
The Log showing all calls,SMS, is great. Easily to work out which support
calls, duration etc I get over a period of time.
I have Version 3.42.1 16-10-03. Is this the latest version?

Re: things i hate about my nokia 6600 so far are...
It's funny that a lot of the recent models of Nokia over the last 3 to 4 years
have never included a call timer.
Their older models did have that function in that when on a call you could
see the time elapsing and work out how long to be on a call. One wonders
why they dropped a feature that was handy only to re introduce it in a
cumbersome manner...

Usual effect you see with design at times.
Basically whoever dropped it didnt see the
need for it and when forced to add it again,
plays silly buggers making it hard to use.
How Nokia settles on design details is obviously a rather weird system
that sometimes works very well, but quite often produces weird stuff too.

Re: things i hate about my nokia 6600 so far are...
The function is on the 6600. Shows you the time for each call, even when you
have one on hold.

Nope. Did they ever have it on GSM, and on which phones?
never had it on a 2010, 8110, 6110, 7110 etc etc

I dont believe ANY Nokia GSM phones had onscreen call timers during the call
without you having to get into the menu

Been a while since iv had it now, but i'm sure my 7110 could be configured
to always show the timer. Required a setting in the menu once, then would
show the counter during the calls. Not sure what firmware either.
