    Hi Guys,

The Orange website states that the 6600 is coming soon to the network,
however several phone websites are already advertising it as a next day
    delivery product.

Is anyone running one on Orange - officially?

    Cheers

    Hi

Orange released it 24th December 2003 on monthly. Got mine from them as
upgrade for FREE Talk 30 price plan.

Thanks for this information Andrew - I am due an upgrade on the 29th of this
month - so a quick phone call to Orange will hopefully get me a 6600.

Only one question - the demo models in the shops look very plastic. Is this
the case with the version sent out in general?

    Cheers

    Gareth

    Hi

The phone feels better than the 'dummy model' it is heavier and feels solid.
I have been very happy so far. Shame they moved the call accept and end
buttons keep pressing the wrong button when texting, anyway only a small
    point.

Thanks for that Andrew. The dummy model in our local Link shop looks awful.

The orange website is still not advertising the 6600 as being available. The
webmaster must still be on xmas break.

    Best wishes,

    Gareth

    Gareth,
very happy with mine, though sometimes you have to turn it off then on
again when trying to delete java/symbian and games/apps.(you will
wonder where the memory has disappeared to!!)
Also got from Orange a Plantronics M3000 Bluetooth Headset, works like
a deram and recognises all voice tags.
In fact Plantronics have yet to update their site regarding the
compatability between 6600 and M3000, they had 100% compatability
when their tests on the 6600 was completed just before Christmas.
    Orange selling the M3000 currently @ £45.99!!!

Was it an upgrade from Orange direct or a shop(carphonewharehouse or
similer) because they want to charge me £99 and im on talk50 (more expensive
    priceplan).
