If somoene wanted to make a legitimate request to Sprint but realized that
CSR's aren't empowered or motivated to pass this information on to top execs
how would someone attempt such a thing? Sprint is pressuring Samsung to
make the next SPH-i500 the SPH-i550 with a camera instead of an external
LCD. The issue is space and price. Samsung couldn't implement both without
significantly increasing the size of this PDA phone. The reason chose the
camera over the LCD was to increase revenues through digital transfers
according to a member of the Samsung design team. Although I'm sure there
are some people that would like the camera, I'm quite sure the majority
would prefer the external LCD. The majority of people using this PDA phone
would be high end business people who would probably have a real 3megapixel
camera for taking photos worth keeping. Furthermore more businesses these
days have a "no camera" policy for business confidentiality and potential
harassment suits. How much revenue does Sprint think it can generate from a
phone that won't be allowed in many major business and govement facilities?
How many people actually use the camera in their phone for business purposes
after the novelty has run out?

I'll admit, I have a love/hate relationship with Sprint but currently they
are the ones specifying the next SPH-i550 and since this is the closest to
ideal phone for me, I'd like to have it corrected before it is too late.

Go to your public Library and get a look at the Standard & Poors directory.

Is it really worth your time though? I wouldn't expect even a hundred
customer complaints to sway super powers like Samsung and SprintPCS
    from their plans.
