    If the 4900 is slow and not recommended for Vision, maybe 4900 owners tend not
    to use it for Vision, and thats why a Tech might not receive many calls about
    it?

    So which phones would you say the 4900 is better than for Vision usage?

    Well, I would of course never admit to having used either my old 4900 or
    my new 8100 as a modem, as that's a no-no.

    However, hypothetically, if I had done so, I would be able to comment
    that the 8100 had less of a tendency to hang or drop the network
    connection than did the 4900. However (and hypothetically) I would
    also observe that the 8100 doesn't have quite the ability that the 4900
    did of holding on to signal in fringe areas.
