Sanyo 5300 WEIRD photo problem

I have a 5300, and it takes photos just fine -- except for ONE PLACE!

There's a local supermarket here called Stater Bros. and, while I
haven't tried this at other markets, my camera will NOT take photos of
long-stemmed carrots! I tried to snap a photo of them at the Stater's
by my house, but no luck. It says "processing image", then it just
disappears and shows the last photo that I took.

I tried it SEVEN TIMES! no luck. So when I was at a friends house 40
miles away, I tried again at the Stater's by her house. Nope. Doesn't
work. I can take photos of bellpeppers, pumpkins, onions! NO CARROTS!

I have since tried this at 6 different Stater Bros. markets, and it
never works. My friend tried it with his 8100 and it works fine.

I know this sounds absolutely stupid, but when you have a moblog, you
find yourself taking odd photos.

Can someone, anyone, the next time you go to the grocery store, please
try to take a photo of the long-stemmed carrots. ..landscape, not
portrait. Then let me know if it works.

wow, this post sounds crazy, but I swear it's a real anomaly!

Stater's ROCKS! Very friendly and quite reasonably priced.

Have you tried Albertson's or Ralph's? I personally am partial to Ralph's,
as it is owned by Kroger Co. and I used to work and shop at a Kroger's in
Ohio. You may have trouble with the onions at Albertsons and Ralph's, however.

Stupid isn't the word, really... I think "inane" is a better description.

And I won't set foot in albertson's until the strike/lockout is settled.
Ralphs I'll go into since the pickets were removed.

Since Stater Bros isn't this far north, I have the ever-so-stuck-in-the 80's
Save Mart to shop at.

And I'll shop at either one. Do you realize what kind of money the UFCW
members make down here? In some cases, twice as much as what they make back
where I'm from, and the cost of living, unlike elsewhere in California, is
NOT higher in the Apple Valley/Victorville area than in other parts of
the country.

They're pissed about paying $5/week for insurance ($15/week for a family),
instead of getting completely free insurance.

That's what the strike is about down here, anyhow.

Plus, it's UFCW, and I had the *cough*pleasure*cough* of being forced to
join when I worked at Kroger's - and I found them to be absolutely useless.

So, I take great pleasure in crossing the picket lines because the union
is worthless, and the picketers are being very, *very* stupid. Perhaps
they should all move out to Cleveland and make $8/hour instead of $15/hour.
Then they won't be complaining about a small deductible that they have to
pay for their health insurance. In some cases, they'll be lucky to *get*
health insurance.

Sorry about the off-topic rant, but the situation really frosts my balls.
The strike is motivated by greed. Nothing else, just greed. (I will support
labor strikes when I think support is warranted, and I'm not, as a rule,
anti-union. I just hate UFCW and think the reasons for this strike are
ridiculous.)

OBTW, the union backed off from Ralph's temporarily. I think they're back
out at Ralph's.

Unbelievable! My employer (who is typical for large employers) pays 75% of
my health insurance cost. This means I pay $75 per month (single person),
plus $15 for each visit and prescription. I think it is fair for employers and
employees to share the cost.
I'd like to hear from the Sprint reps what they are paying for health insurance.

almost exactly what I pay (best buy). I was kind of pissed at the
strikers too, and would've crossed the lines had I not lived 2 houses
away from a Stater Bros.

My 5300 is perfectly happy with carrots but it doesn't like broccoli.

I wasn't going to post this here, but my friend kept saying "just POST
it, maybe someone else has noticed the same problem!".. ..not carrots,
mind you, but just certain color combo's not working.

Lest than That, When I was working at Sprint, Co-pay was $10 per dr. office
visit. all together Health Insurance, Vision, Dental, Life insurance, all
that, was less than $20 a month.. Same Thing for Verizon Now. I think they
cover 90% of health insurance.
