I have been looking at information on the Treo 600 but can not determine
what kind of email client application it has loaded on it.

I went to Best Buy today to have a look at it and saw there was an
application on it called "SMS" with a email looking icon on it. Does
anyone know if this is a good email client?

Can it work with IMAP mail servers? or only POP3?

Is there any other good email applications for the Palm OS that will
    work with IMAP mail servers?

    Thanks in Advance,

    Ken

I'm wondering about good IMAP apps too. SMS isn't what you're looking
for. It offers functionality similar to alphanumeric 2-way pagers. The
messages are short (around 128 chars) and are sent to phone numbers.

There are a number of IMAP and POP3 compatible emails apps for the Treo/Palm
OS 5, but they don't come with the unit (at least not with the Sprint CDMA
version). But it's also fairly easy to get them. Try visiting
www.treocentral.com and go to the discussion forums and do a search. You'll
find plenty of entries on this subject.

    Hi Ken,

Kevin from palmOne here. Esteban is right, treocentral is a great
place to find information. The Handspring support pages are also
available and very helpful, try the search box here:
    http://support.handspring.com/esuppo...d=fq&Question=

And here is a list of some of the mail programs offered for the Treo
    600:

    Best,

    Kevin
