Samsung VGA1000 - new software out yet?

Does anyone know if this version is out yet? I've tried calling 3 stores
in the past hour, the one person I was able to get ahold of told me that
I have the current software in my phone.....pretty amazing since I never
told her what version I have (unless there has never been a software
change since the phone has come out.) I've had the phone less than a
week and so far, 2 times the phone started beeping and flashing a
message saying that only emergency or authorized calls can be made while
the phone is locked. The last time, the phone was on the table next to
my PC. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, it started beeping and giving me
the error message. I had to power down in order to clear it. This sounds
similar to the software problem you described in your previous post.

We are ***so*** busy in Customer Care these days, man. I=20
will try to keep my eyes open for when this gets released. =20
As of right now, there is only one software version, I=20
think it's WG09. The one I mentioned isn't out yet, and is=20
only mentioned in a listing of one known issue for the=20
VGA1000. I doubt I'll be the first, but once I know it's=20
out (*really* out. Sometimes it gets "released" before=20
it's actually available for installation into phones), I'll=20
let you know here.

Thanks, I'll be sure to watch for it.

Do you know if the update addresses the 160 character limit on text
input fields? This is killing me in email. Thanks!
