I received my new T608 and I am a little disappointed. The speaker is very
faint, to the point where I find it hard to hear the phone ring and almost
cannot hear the key tones at all. Maybe I was spoiled by my VGA1000 that was
replaced by the T608.
I paired the phone with my new Acura TL. My friends say that the
transmission sounds like I am in a tunnel and is scratchy and "breaking up".
Also, I have to speak much louder than normal to be heard when I am in the
car.
Is anyone else experiencing these problems? Do I have a faulty microphone in
my TL?
On the positive side, I almost always have 5 lines of signal strength, where
the VGA1000 had 2 or 3.

Re: Disappointed with my new T608
First, the only problem we've seen with the T608 is the screen - which is
poor only in comparison with some of the great screens out there --
everything else can probably be fixed. The Sprint manual includes only the
very basic information and none of the specialized functions. A miserable
job of writing!
This phone has some really elegant features including Digit Dialing (speak
the phone number, place the call!), and an effective speakerphone. I use the
Jabra BT200, and get those features. When I enter the car, the phone
automatically switches over to the car system. Very nice!
There are a couple of places where volume can be adjusted, and when in a
call you can press the OPTION key, then 1, to get speakerphone. There are
many different rings, including some that are faint and some that will take
the paint from the walls. Explore.
On my car (Toyota Prius) I can get to a Bluetooth Sound Quality screen and
make adjustments. Explore, though you'll probably have to go to an Acura
group to get the entry path to a screen that serves that function.
I will not even consider giving up this T608, despite the screen
