I have a quick question for the sprint guru's...

    I'm on a kick-ass non-vision retention plan ($30/600 minutes, unlimited
night and weekend starting at 8pm) but I need a new phone. I was thinkning
about purchasing the nokia non-vision color phone and called sprint customer
care and "pre-qualified" for the $100 rebate. If I purchase this phone,
would I be able to keep my existing rate plan? Do I have to extend the
contract? I forgot to ask these questions and it took forever to reach them
    in the first place.

    Thanks!

I can't comment on whatever credit / rebate might be applied, but as to
switching to the new phone, it shouldn't be a problem, as the Nokia is not a
Vision capable phone. If you take a credit / rebate from SPCS, you may need
to extend your contract a year.

Here's what I'd suggest, so that you get it in writing. Go to your manage
page, click on help and send them an email, outlining all your questions.

    Bob

PS: I have no clue where you are located, but you might also ask whether you
can add the $5 F&CA option to your plan.

The "fine print" on the rebate form states that you must be on a plan that
costs $35 or higher to be eligible for the rebate.

could you add something like F&CA *temporarily* to push you above the $$ you need?

I do not know. I am currently on a $34.99 plan. When I call they try
to put me on a new contract. And the best plan that I can get is 350
anytime minutes and unlimited N&W for $35. I have been month to month
for 2-years. I would like a better deal if I am going to sign a new
    contract.

You should be able to do it. Me and my wife are also on a non-vision
retention plan which I like. Recently I upgraded both the phones to
Sanyo RL2500 and still have my non-vision retention plan.

Likewise, my wife and I did the same a few months ago when we upgraded
from Samsung 8500's to VGA1000's. The only drawback, if you add a Vision
pack to the second phone it will cost $7.50 instead of $5 per month.
