i'm a little unclear about how to send pictures you take on your phone, if
you want to email it to someone....i know that from the review/share folder
you can send pictures to other PCS phones with vision, but can you email a
picture from this folder, or must you first upload it to your picture mail
account and then email it from there?

John, you can email it directly to someone's email. When I take a picture of
someone to show them the feature, I go into options, share phone book and
send it to their email address. If I don't have their email address in my
phone, I put that in, or create a whole new entry if that person isn't in my
phone book, and send it off.
A copy of that picture is sent to the picture vault.
Actually to add to this, the picture does not directly go to the email
address. A link is sent to the email address informing the person to click
on a link, which goes to the picture in the picture vault. It's pretty quick
too.
A month or so ago, I bumped into a friend at a local watering hole following
the Panthers game. He went to the game as well, and got his face painted
with some Panther logos. I took the pic, sent it to his parent's email
address, and within 5 minutes, they called their son saying how great he
looked.

Do you have to have Vision to do this? Or can you do it with an
additional charge

this is where i'm stuck...i'll try it again in a minute to be sure, but when
i try to send a picture from the review/share folder (sanyo, btw), i never
see an option to choose anything other than a general phonebook entry, so i
take this to mean that it will attempt to send the picture to that person's
phone number (assuming they are pcs customers)...i don't know how to choose
an email address when i send it...

John you must make new entry's with a username and then only an email
address! I was confused about the sending also my first month with my Sanyo
8100, because it would not access all of the entry's that I had under a
user, only the first entry is used, so make that first entry an email
address. That is how I emailed myself pictures that I took with my Sanyo
BTW >>> don't forget that your pictures can also be uploaded to
http://pictures.sprintpcs.com/ (you must first make a username and password
to use this so-called "picture vault". Also if you email yourself pictures
you have taken when they arrive you can go to a page where you can fully
manipulate the picture for saving on your computer.

Re: sending pictures on the phone
hi...since you have an 8100, i just have to ask...did you have the white
noise on your phone when on a call? i've asked this about a million times,
but i just want to see what everyone says...some say they hear it, others
don't, so i find it odd...

No white noise on my end here.

Yes, upload your pics to www.3gupload.com and then download them to your
phone.

You need to have the person's email address in your phonebook. On my 5300,
when I take the picture and go into Options (Top right softkey), and do
Share Ph.book, the next screen asks whether to send it by Email or Mobile. I
select email, the address book comes up and I select the right entry.
If I don't have that person I want to send it the picture to in my address
book, then when clicking email, the address book comes up and I select new
entry, and create a new entry, including their name and the email address.

Yes there is, via 3gupload.com or the other providers.

I think that on the 8100, you can use the email address instead of the phone
number in this situation (for a given Phone Book entry) by hitting the
right-arrow key.
