This isn't really a proper forum to sell equipment. You might think about
putting the phone & accessories up on eBay.

Re: sanyo 8100
since when did this not become the proper forum, I've seen plenty of items
for sale here. Not to mention many people don't like ebay, so why not give
someone here a shot at it instead of doing all of the ebay crap.

Some of these folks like to act like moderator and boss people around.
While most folks would object to twice daily postings by some dealer,
a once a year post by an end user does not seem out of line. The dose is
the difference.

No one is trying to be a moderator here Phillipe ... Do you see the word
"forsale" in the newsgroup title name? No? neither do I.

Just because other posters have tried to sell something in here, it doesn't
mean they were right to post here ...

Re: sanyo 8100
thanks robert. I didn't think it would be an issue, I'm just a customer
wanting to upgrade and I know people sometimes have busted phones they want
to replace, figured it was a decent thing to do.

Well, at least it's a Sprint fone, Bob. On my reader, two messages below
this one, I see "Naked School Girls" as a listing and unless they've got a
fone tucked someplace that's not even close. As you say it don't make it
right, but a private sale of a phone, in a low pressure manner the OP
presented, ain't that big a deal.

Oh, I agree Tom ... and if anyone cares to go back to my original reply, I
didn't make it a real big issue, nor was I telling anyone what to do, or
trying to moderate the newsgroup as our local troll would like to think. In
fact, I pointed the OP to eBay as a source to sell their phone.
There was one thing that I didn't like about the original OP's message
though, and that he wanted to handle the sale through this newsgroup instead
of email. It's one thing to offer something to sell and then say ... email
me back, but another thing entirely to say they won't accept email ...
