Question, I talked to a customer service person yesterday that told me I
could do this upgrade I am looking to do and he told me all the things I
would have to do in order to do it. Well, I asked him to make a note on my
account referencing it so that I could go to my local sprint store and
decide what phones to get, I heard him typing, but I feel he probably
screwed me over. I went to the store, call again on the 800 number, nobody
can find anyting & trying to get the same guy I talked to the first time is
probably fairly slim. My question is anything I can do to get the deal I was
told about or any info on what's going on when you ask them to add a note to
your account and they don't?

Depends on what sort of upgrade you are talking about.

Here's the deal, I called because I am a sprint customer already with one
phone and I am going to port a number over to them and sign a 2 year
contract. The phone I currently have doesn't qualify for the 18 month
upgrade yet, but the csr guy told me that if I was willing to port a number,
plus sign a two year contract, which would have both phones on one plan,
that sprint would offer me an upgrade to another phone, readylink are the
phones I want. He said as long as I am willing to sign a 2 year contract I
could upgrade my 8100 to a readylink phone with the 150 off rebate along
with the new phone I would get that would also have a rebate, (the ported
one). I thought it sounded odd, but if he said they would do it then i
expected them to do it, mostly I'm bugged the guy didn't make a note on the
account, the 18 month thing is a tad ridiculous.

Agreeing to give you an upgrade like that is unusual. There have been
reports of CSRs agreeing to whatever you say in order to rush you off
the phone.
If you work for a large company there may be discounts available through
your company, otherwise with no ntes on your accopunt its going to be
hard to verify you got a deal that is not a normal one.
