They are stereo in stereo headphones. The headphone/mike that comes
with the 600 is mono. I think you have to either buy an adapter to
accept standard stereo headphones, or buy a special stereo headset for
the Treo.

One must purchase a Stereo adapter (Small plug) to use standard Stereo
headphones
