We love our Sanyo phones but don't like the ringers. Went to the Sanyo
    website
    http://www.sanyo.com/wireless/wallpa...gers/index.cfm
and am not able to test the sounds out. I have no other problems hearing
sounds from other websites. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thanks,
    Laurie

I just got a sanyo phone and had the same reaction. I couldn't hear
ringers on several sites either but I just signed a new contract with
Sprint and they gave me two months of web access as a free trial. If
you've just signed a contract, ask them and they might give you this
    offer too.
This allowed me to use the phone to go to the sprint site and download
some new ringers. The ones called "normal-single ring" and
"normal-double ring" work fine for me. There's also some blips and
beeps I use for message alerts and the like.

If this solution doesn't work for you, do a group search for ring
tones and you'll find posts that list websites to go get new ringers.

YES! You must be letting Windows Media Player attempt to play the sounds !
There appears to be a bug in Windows Media player playing .mid files

CURE: Let a different player be associated with .mid or MIDI files, such as
    Apple Quick-time.

It was not Windows Media, but Real Player. How do I change this?
    Thanks.

My son turned me onto this site http://www.freeringers.net for
$8.00 for life time membership, you can "relay" midi files to yours
or anyones phone. They can also "relay" pictures up to 1 meg
in size. It automatically resizes them, but come out crystal clear!
There are thousands of sites offering free midi's by the millions.
I use Anvil Studio http://www.anvilstudio.com to edit out the
dead spots or trim out the section of the midi's I want to send.
Kind of a process, but you get EXACTALLY what you want....

I got mine from 3gupload.com and had to register but they are free. I
haven't used them in over a year but I think it is still free.
