My Sprint store and the web site for my area don't offer phones by LG.
(They did have the VI-5225 until recently, don't have the PM-325 yet)
For years I've been extremely happy with LG phone performance and even more
the convenience.
I especially like the unique phone-list search .. find by any unique part of
a name but speed-dial (for home, mobile and other numbers in same listing)
and schedule entry, missed call replies and other tools have similar
conveniences. Even one-handed operation in the dark is easy. My family has
been OK with Nokia, Sanyo, and Samsung, but when I transfered my business
usage to Sprint I found out what they've been missing.
I asked at the store and got a blank look and they discouraged the only LG
offering. They told me (I quote) "because it doesn't have analog" (do they
have any idea how rediculous that sounds coming from the "largest
all-digital network"?).
Sprint previously offered some amazing and exciting LG products (LG-4NE1,
TP3000)
LG still offers CDMA digital 800/1900 + analog 800 MHz phones with truely
functional features like 11-line screens, and 500-phone directories... but
not for Sprint!
Does anybody know why?

I can't speak for Sprint, but I did get 2...VI-5225 LG phones last month
and so far have found them to be the best I have ever used.
My needs are only to talk and listen....no other bells and whistles.
These work in elevators and places where my old ones did not.

My wife has an LG flip phone with US Cellular. The problem I have with
it is that there is a button on the outside of the phone that is exposed
when it is closed. That buttom determines the ringing mode. She is
constantly accidently bumping that button and the phone goes into
vibrate mode. I try to call her and with the phone in her purse, she
doesn't answer. POOR DESIGN ON LG's PART!

Strange....
On my flip phone, I also have the button on the side that gets bumped
when removing it from the case, however, with the lid closed in the idle
mode, the button does nothing. On mine, only when you open the flip in
the idle mode, does the button change the ringing levels. And then, to
set the ring that I selected, I push ok...otherwise it reverts back to
the level it started at.
I suppose your model functions differently and if so, it is a poor design.

Re: Why few LG phones on Sprint PCS?
That too... I never had reception/service area problems with my LG phones.
Like you I don't need or want anything but clear simple voice phone service.
I'm not sure why my Sprint store discouraged/discontinued the VI-5225.
Their display wasn't ever working when I stopped by, so I don't know if
it has the LG software I'm looking for. (example: when I miss a call I see
the number they called from as well as the name, call history tells me
the number of minutes call lasted, etc.)
I have a current LG camera phone (L1150 on ATT/Cingular) but the phone
directory and organizer are obviously licensed from somewhere else.
I found a used LG 5350 which does give me the directory and scheduler
features I need, but I can't find one in really good condition.
