I just got a new Sam A-840 and like it a lot. I was wondering if my old
Sanyo 8200 could be made into a Tracfone by changing the sim. It would be
nice to have a second phone and number available, and the price would be
    cheap enough. Any thoughts ?

    Won't work.

    1) CDMA phones don't use GSM SIM cards.
    2) TracFone isn't GSM, much less CDMA.
    3) The CDMA Sanyo might work if your in analog roam. Don't count on it.

    It won't TracFone is TDMA.
(you'd think they'd consider upgrading to at least GSM by now)
