samsung mm-a900

i cant find this phone anywhere in my area. ive looked at all the
sprint stores/radio shacks and none of them carry this phone. whats the
deal? was it only a limited time phone? do i have to get it off ebay? i
cant order off the sprint site.

p.s. i live in central california (fresno)

You can order it from Sprint online.
That's the only place I could find mine.
P.S. Get some xtra ac/dc chargers.

thanks for the reply. one sprint store here had a display but wouldnt
sell it...

I had to order mine off the Sprint website as none to be found in the St.
Louis area. Nice phone, best I've had so far from Sprint.

did you sign up for power vision? can you still use your existing
vision package? my plan includes free vision/text/picture mail. i dont
wanna upgrade to power and loose all my features i have now and pay
more. can i still use my existing plan?

If you do not get a rebate then you do not have to subscribe to EDO and can
keep your regular vision plans, but will not be able to utilize the power
vision.

If you look hard enough you can always find the answer you want. Doesn't
mean it's the complete answer...

The bottom line is Sprint doesn't want EV-DO phones activated without an
EV-DO plan--and they are getting stricter about this policy.

However, your *best* (no guarantee) chance of keeping your grandfathered
Vision package (with unlimited text messaging) is to buy the phone (no
rebate) and call Sprint to make an ESN swap. Do not have a store
employee call for you; nor make the swap for you.

Once you get to speak with a rep do NOT mention anything about changing
*anything*--or ask about keeping Vision. Don't even bring it up. Just
tell them you are swapping phones and that's it. If they (Sprint) bring
it up, you might want to politely explain you need to go and will need
to call back later. Then try it again with another rep.

You might want to also visit sprintusers.com to investigate this issue
further.
