I have a Sanyo VI2300 phone with SprintPCS service. This afternoon I made a
call, through the headset, and when I finished, disconnected. When I got
home about 20 minutes later, I checked it again for missed calls or
voicemails and didn't see any. Didn't use the phone anymore after that.

A few minutes ago (about 6 hours after I finished the last call), I pick up
the phone to see the message "Ongoing" showing in the display. I *know* I
disconnected that last call, because I checked it again to see the time (and
I called that number again from a different phone afterwards, so it's not
like the person I was talking to wouldn't have disconnected). I have Sprint
Vision disabled, and do not ever use it for messaging or the web. I've
never seen that display before -- I don't see anything in the owners book.

Has anyone else ever seen this, or know what this could possibly be? A
look at the call history shows no further outgoing or incoming or missed
    calls.

    TIA

I also have a vi2300. The ongoing message means their is "something"
    active on the inside screen.

    Here is an example:

If I flip the phone open, access my phone book (don't pick
anything...just open it), then flip the phone closed, the outside
    screen will display ongoing.

    Does that make sense?

Yeah it does -- WHEW!!!! Seeing "ongoing" during peak hours on a phone
that I haven't picked up for four hours frightens me. But that's
    exactly what it was. THANKS!!!
