Just released for Sprint, at $99 after rebate.
What would be a sensible plan with minimal daytime voice minutes?
What kind of data plans do people typically get where they don't anticipate
a lot of usage?
Can you change to an unlimited plan later?
Can you transfer a number (from VZ wireless)?

To see a list of available plans for individuals in your area go to
the page below and enter your zip code.
http://nextelonline.nextel.com/NASAp...ndividualPlans
Most areas are going to have a 450 minute plan with nights and
weekends begining at 7pm and free sprint to sprint for 39,99 per month
as the base. Some areas also have a 200 minute plan available with
nights and weekends begining at 9pm without sprint to sprint for 29.99
per month.
In regard to data plans, the device is listed as a 'power vision'
device so I would think you would want to add that. The least
expensive of these that are currently offered would run $15 per month,
for unlimited untethered data and browsing. As long as you do not
intend to use the device as a modem, this should fit your needs well.
The PAM plans or phone as modem plans run 39.99 or 49.99 per month
depending on your needs. There are also packages put togerther
specifically for music, navigation, or business users too, again
depending on your preferences that run $20 - $30 per month.
Informations regarding these can be found as well under data plans on
the site.
Yes, you can transfer your number from verizon without much
difficulty. The only reason I could see for not being able to would
be if you currently have an ancient verizon phone that had the number
and msid locked to the device for some reason. I only list this
possibility as I know that there were phones that Sprint had at one
time that where locked to a certain number and msid and am assuming,
purhaps incorrectly, that verizon also had phones like this at one
time. Please excuse the error if this is not the case.
A friend on the inside :-)

Why bother, when you can get unlimited data for $30/month?
> Can you change to an unlimited plan later?
This is an unlimited data plan. If you need more anytime talk minutes,
they have 1250 for $50 or 2500 for $100.
> Can you transfer a number (from VZ wireless)?
I think number portability is a requirement for all carriers now.

My current sprint retention plan is up for renewel. Can I just do this
sero thing, cancel my current plan, take the 1250 sero plan AND use my
current number. Or will that not be allowed. Also, is roaming included?
They haven't been able to cancel my current plan (1300 anytime, 300
evening for 49+7 insurance+5 for roaming+15 for data) can they not renew
the sero plan? also it says that only 6 referrals per sprint employee,
doesn't [email protected] go over 6? thanks
