I can't seem to fine voice command configuration anywhere!

According to what I've seen (search youtube for "David Pogue,
Centro") it's a subscriber service. Perhaps you're referring to
    something else.

If you don't want to rent the service, initiate pro is a launcher replacement
    that includes voice comand.

You mean to tell me the Palm Centro doesn't have built-in support for
    voice-dialing?!?!

As far as I know, it isn't built in. Sprint wants to sell the service.

I have searched the manual for any reference to voice activated
dialing, which sounds like what you were actually asking about. Most
devices now-a-days do support some form of this. Unfortunately, it
does not appear that the Centro is one that does. Voice Command,
which has been another solution offered by Sprint for many years has
stopped being offered as of July 1st, 2008. This service use to be
able to be activated by dialing *talk.

I have a Centro, and no, voice dialing is not built-in. However, there are at least a few third party programs that provide voice dialing functionality. Take a look at the discussion forums at treocentral.com if you want more info. You can also check out the software store at treonauts.com, where there usually is a 20% off coupon available :-)

In general, the availability of all sorts of third party programs to customize the Centro in just about any way you want is one of the things I love about theCentro.
