From what I can see, it should be on store shelves first week of August.
So, too, the Samsung A62... err... VGA1000.

Oh, the story I would love to tell. But, for now, all I can say is we're
    still thinking it over.

Maybe you can help on this one. When may they get the
    LG-LX5550 into the stores?

I think I know about half of that story.

Mm, that's a shame. It *would* truly be nice if Sprint offered a phone
from a better known carrier for once, instead of the usual Korean B-List
manufacturers, cheap Nokia model, and Sanyo.

I would love to hear this story myself. I wonder if goes something like
    this:

SPRINT CEO: Gee, why would anyone want anything other than an 8100?
Don't the masses realize that cruddy low-res cameras and useless Vision
packages are the future of communication?

UNDERLING: Sir, it seems that a lot of people are interested in the
functionality available in the handsets that have been available with
GSM carriers, like bluetooth, and something other than a "don't
ask/don't tell/don't get caught" policy on data usage.

SPRINT CEO: Nonsense! What's wrong with the i330? We gave them the
i500, didn't we? Be silent! Summon my concubines, and get me my cognac
    and smoking jacket!!

    ---

"Thinking it over": I wonder if that is a veiled way of saying:

"We're wondering if we can get away with pulling a phone that makes
2/3rds of our present product line look like crap, and waiting until
next year to have BT available to our customers..."

Awww, don't diss our big guy that way. Couldn't happen. Underlings NEVER
    get to see him

As for "the story"... Well.... I've already been warned about my
participation here. So I'm being watched.
