To the original poster, I can tell you that Sprint recently signed me on to
an unlimited web access account with a Bankruptcy and credit record that
still is not accurate and shows discharged accounts as being bad debt. I
paid a $250.00 deposit and I would otherwise be limited to a bit over
$100.00 a month before getting cut off if this were not an unlimited
account that is a flat $80.00. They will re-evaluate me in a year and by
two years of good standing, they will treat me as though my rating is the
best there is purely on my way of doing business with them, not other
creditors. Like he said, if you remain in good standing, they would have no
reason to waste money looking at your credit report. They care obout how
you treat them as far as timely payments, not your beacon score. Hopefully
this will be one less stressor in your situation. I have been there and
lost everything when my industry was in a slump several years ago and it
was an agonizing decision to get a fresh start but was the best possible
choice once all property is lost and they want more money for it than when
    it was in your possession.

Really? I'm an ASL customer and was told the only way I could get taken off
was for them to re-run a credit check. Of course, I am in the process of
cleaning up my file, and even if you are correct, by the time I'd qualify
for a re-classification, my credit rating will be back up to where I can
just tell them to re-run me anyhow...

I haven't really worried about it because our average bill is $45/month,
and my ASL is $200, and I pay the bill in full each month... and I don't
need another line (ASL customers are only allowed one active line).

I think with a $200 ASL you can have one additional line. - sheureka

Umm... if you're running on a $200 limit, you probably qualify for a max of
two subscriptions. If you're interested, you might want to call and ask.
You just might make a rep's day, because they can offer you $100 off a new
    phone. If you qualify.
