Hello,
I have noticed that the Sanyo 4900s are being phased out -- as confirmed
by a few people in here as well as Sprint reps. I am looking into
picking one up before they go obsolete because I need a Vision phone,
but I don't care for flips and have no real need for a camera phone.
Just a nice, basic Vision phone.
Would the 4900 be a good choice? Does anyone else own this phone and
could recommend it to anyone else? Performance and reception-wise, does
it stack up to the 5300 or 8100, and in comparison to the Samsungs?
Thanks,
Eric

Re: Sanyo 4900: Good phone?
great phone, have had over the last 6 months or so--if you don't need
the speaker phone, the 6400 is on closeout sale at sprint stores w/o
contract--was over 200 bucks, if anybody boughtthem for that--see
privious posts on this phone yesterday and today)

I can't compare it to the other phones you mentioned but, it does have
excellent reception. On the downside, the browser is slow.

I totally agree! I have had my phone 7 mos. and have changed phones every 6
months. Every other phone I had was a flip, but this phone is perfect
(except it's not light...not too heavy either). A lot of people complement
me on it and it's screen and what the phone can do.
