Sprint's PTT Phones

Hi everyone,

I think everybody knows that Sprint PCS is debuting their push-to-talk
(PTT) technology very soon, dubbed Ready Link. But what phones will be
available?

Recently I read <a
href="http://www.americasnetwork.com/americasnetwork/article/articleDetail.jsp?id=66041"
target="_blank">an article</a> talking about Sprint PCS's equipment that
they will be using. And all that was mentioned was a flip-phone and a
ruggedized device.

I assume the ruggedized phone is the <a
href="http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?id=297"
target="_blank">Sanyo SCP-7200</a>. <b>So what is the flip-phone?</b> Is
it a version of the <a
href="http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?id=334"
target="_blank">Samsung SCH-A690</a> that is eventually going to be
offered by Verizon?

Currently I have a <a
href="http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?id=193"
target="_blank">Sanyo SCP-5300</a> camera phone, and it works really
well. And the new camera phones are cool too, but none of them have the
PTT ability (obviously). <b>When do you think Sprint PCS will have
camera phones with PTT functionality?</b>

I feel confused at this point. I really want PTT, but I want my camera
too. If the flip-phone has a camera attachment, kind of like the <a
href="http://www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?id=158"
target="_blank">Samsung SPH-A500</a>, do you think that will be good
enough?

If anybody could help answer these questions, that would be great! I
can't wait until all this is available!

I use voice dial all the time on my phone - what is the advantage of PTT?
I've never used it.
