I'm going to buy the USB cable for the N400 from RadioShack, and I
understand that i'll need to download and install drivers to set it up as a
modem. Where can I find them?

Re: N400 drivers
If you get the Snap Dial or Snap Media software from Radio Shack you will
have the drivers as well as the application to do your stuff.

Re: N400 drivers
Sprint can/does monitor for usage on unlimited plans. They will remove IP
basic from your plan and your acct noted 'usage abuse'....Good luck.
Unlimited Vision plan customers should not use phone as a modem
As stated in the Service Plans Guide under PCS Free & Clear with Vision,
these plans are not available with PCS Connection Cards, PCS Connections
Kits or other devices that can be used as a modem.
Type: General Information
Customers, on an unlimited Vision plan, are not allowed to use their phone
as a modem.
If a customer indicates they would like an unlimited Vision plan because
they intend to use their phone as a modem, the specialist should use the
following statement to ensure the plans are set up correctly.
"Mr./Mrs. customer, I apologize but these unlimited Vision plans are not
available to use with your device as a modem. I would suggest you visit
your local Sprint Store where you can purchase a Connection Card with a
separate plan which was created for this purpose.

Can you use it if you watch how much bandwidth you're using?

I've been using my N400 in just this manner since December, often heavily
when I'm on travel. I've yet to get such a notice.

It was my impression that the new Terms of Service do allow this. Anyone?

Re: N400 drivers
I'm not too concerned. I plan on using it to check my email and send a few
IMs via AIM two or three days a week. I don't expect to use enough data to
piss them off. And if I do, then i'll just stop using it like that when
they tell me to. No big deal.
