I was surprised to receive a "loyalty e-mail" this evening from
    SPCS.

For those interested I've put it up here:

    http://maniform.com/spcs-loyalty

The deal they're offering wouldn't benefit me much. I've already
got two phones each with the same deal, which gives me 8 pm N&W, 2550 N&W
    and 450 anytime.

Their loyalty/retention offer has unlimited N&W, but I hardly use
the 2550 minutes I now have, and I have 150 more anytime minutes.

If they're really interested in having me re-up, though, I should
call them. I'd be happy to sign another contract (I'm currently on
no/expired contract and my service is great) if they'd do something else
nice for me. But I don't know what to ask for. Perhaps a phone credit, but
that's like nothing to them so I should try to come up with something of
    value.

FWIW, I'm a customer of 4.5 years, my monthly has been the above
for most of that time (about $60) and my bill-paying record is spotless.

Who in the hell could survive on 300 minutes a month!!!!????

I have 2,000 minutes a month for two phone for $75... and use around 1,800
every month. I feel I need more minutes, but based on the price... I can't
afford to move to anything else... for another 1,000 minutes, my rate would
    jump to a ton!!!

    My plan:

    Your Plan Includes:
$75.00 PCS Free & Clear Plan
Minutes Are Shared ON This Plan
    All Minutes Include Long Distance
    2000 Anytime Minutes
    Unlimited Vision
    Unlimited PCS To PCS Calling
    Nights: M-th 9pm-7am Wknd: F 7pm-m 7am
Caller Id, Call Waiting, ID Block
    Three-way Calling
    Voicemail

    I wouldn't say 300 for $30 is a reward for your loyalty.

    You're right.

I have enough minutes for my needs, generally, but I notice two
things about your plan that _would_ reward my loyalty. You have a
prodigious amount of anytime minutes that would make up for the 9 pm n&w in
if I had to take that, and you have unlimited Vision. I have zero percent
interest in Vision if I have to pay for it, but as I say, if they really
want me to sign another contract, those are two things I suppose I'd use.
500 pcs to pcs minutes may as well be a million for me. Apart from calling
my wife from the grocery store I don't use that many of those.

    Thanks for sharing. DGI

It looks like they are dropping the $40 limit on Add-a-Phone. If
they offered that to us I think we would take it. It would drop us from
400 to 300 min. but I think we won't have a problem with that and being
able to use the Nights & Weekend minutes starting at 2000 instead of
2100 for Wireless Web would be nice.

If you're close to running out of your contract, I'd suggest you ditch
this offer and wait for a retention plan. I didn't get an e-mail from
SPCS, instead I got a call, basically offering me the 8PM UL NW. It
took some effort, but I also managed to get them to give me an
    additional 240 AT minutes.

    Old plan:
    $40
    400 AT
    UL NW @ 9PM
    + $5 UL PCS-PCS
    + $5 WW
    ========
    $50

    New plan:
    $40
    640 AT
    UL NW @ 8PM
    + $5 UL PCS-PCS
    + $5 WW
    ========
    $50

PS: Am I the only one who's bothered by the fact that if you make a
change to your account you lose your ability to track your usage for
the rest of the billing cycle? Why can't SPCS fix this? After all,
their CS representatives do have easy access to this info.

Are you replying to me or to David? If to me, if they would offer
it to us, it would save us $10 per month and move our N & W start to
2000. I think we could live with 300 min. per month.

Got junk mail offer from ATTWS all the time for free phone+free headset.
Got a new offer from Blockbuster the other day for ATTWS.
Beside free phone and free headset, they add 200 bonus minutes forever as long
as you stay in that chosen plan($29.99 and above) plus unlimited long distance
and unlimited free digital roaming(?) and night and weekend(start at 9:00PM).

So for $29.99 mLife Local Plan, one can get 250+100+200=550 anytime minute +
free long distance + free digital roaming

If you are a "Valued Blockbuster Member" and are interested in this, might
    wanner give them a call.

Unfortunately, this deal only valid for 45 days. Hope they have new deal after
    Nov 24.
