Is there any vision program/product that allows you to share a online
to do list?
I run a business with my wife and currently I keep my to do list on my
ipaq sync it with outlook. To give my wife a copy I print it from
outlook in to pdf and email my wife the pdf daily. she does not want
to carry a second device like a ipaq. But this means that anything
that gets added to the to do list after I print it doesnt get picked
up till the next day.
I was wondering if there was a way to sync the to do lists with our
phones. It appears in some version of vision you can sync with
outlook. Does the outlook syncing include "to do" lists and can two
phones sync to the same list?

The most elegant way would be to get PDA phones like the Samsung I330 or
I500, and then sign up for "PCS Business ConnectionSM Personal Edition",
which will allow the PDA phone to synch with Outlook or Palm Desktop
to-do-list. Its not cheap to go that route, perhaps letsgoflyers81 knows
of a methodology with more standard phones.

I'm not sure about regular phones, but Palm and PPC phones can sync
with Outlook to share contacts, calender, to do list, memos, etc. This
way, you can share all the lists with your computer and other Palm/PPC
phones.

Like I said, I don't know how with regular phones. SnapSync from
FutureDial will sync contact lists, but that's it. You don't need the
Business Connection to sync with Palm/PPC to Outlook or the Palm
desktop. You can do it via USB, and IR. I don't know for sure about
PPC, but Palms (i300, i330, i500, Treo 300, upcoming Treo 600) can sync
wirelessly over Sprint's network, I do it all the time myself.

Re: "To do list" syncing via vision
When you use the Treo what software do you use on the computer the desktop
to sync via the sprint pcs network?
Since my exchange server is behind a firewall I assume I need some middle
software

The Treo comes with its "hotsync" software with allows the Treo to back
up its contents on the computer and sync with Outlook for contacts,
memos, to do lists, etc. You can sync by USB or IR so a firewall won't
be an issue. With a network sync, you can set your firewall to allow
the Treo to sync, that's what I did. To my knowledge, it won't sync
e-mail. There are many Palm clients for POP e-mail but they won't
handle exchange servers. If that's what you need, the Professional
Vision Pack will give you access to exchange servers, and you should be
able to set your firewall to allow you access.

You can sync your tasks and calendar with Outlook using Intellisync for
MSN. Then you just access your MSN calendar on MSN on the phone. It's
available (free) on the MSN Mobile website. - sheureka

Many Exchange Server Manager don't allow Pop email as that function is
buggy.

I read all the other replies to this post, and they are all way off
target.
What you want is one of the Palm phones from Sprint, preferably the
new SPH-i500 (if you prefer a clamshell phone-first, PDA-second) or
the older, slower and slightly buggy i330. Anyway, the Palm software
has a built-in feature called "Network HotSync" that will allow you to
sync over Vision with a desktop PC at home. As I've posted elsewhere,
there are caveats:
o Security: Your data will go flying across the Internet in clear
text. Palm apparently doesn't think you should HotSync except on
private networks (and thinks that all private networks, including huge
corporations, are "secure" inside). Either that or they don't think
you should worry about your private data flying across the internet.
o IP addressing: If your ISP at home gives you a static address, you
are fine. But if it gives you a dynamic IP address that can change --
you can still do it, but it's a little tricky. Partly, again, because
Palm apparently thinks you should only sync from your local network.
And *they* know what's best for you.
For directions on how to do this, see this thread:
http://www.pdaphonehome.com/forums/s...&threadid=8168
Sprint PCS Business Connection was mentioned. This would in a sense be
"easier" to use because it deals with the dynamic IP problem -- and
also encrypts your data. However, it only gets you email, "corporate
address book" and "really slow remote file access." So this doesn't
really do what you want.

What bugs does the I330 have? If its a known buggy Palm Phone,
why is Sprint still selling it?
