Found an alarm clock app by Spruce Tech out of Japan, but after one
abortive install attempt, I've realized it won't run on my 8100.
That leaves... nothing
Anyone have an idea? That little 5 second beep is not nearly enough to
wake me up, especially travelling.
Thanks

Re: Alarm Clock midlet for 8100?
I didn't like the alarm on the Sanyo 8100 either. I exchanged it for a
Samsung A620. Although, the Samsung has no snooze, it can be set to be
very loud and seperate from the ringer loudness. I still like my Nokia
8890 best for an alarm, but I don't want to carry more than one phone
everywhere. Good luck with finding something to wake you during your
travels.

Re: Alarm Clock midlet for 8100?
For all those who don't travel and try to use your mobile phone as a
wake up device, go out to Walmart and get yourself a digital clock for
about $12 and a battery for about $4 to make sure the time is right when
there's a black-out.
For those who travel like myself, the Sanyo 8100 will not work too well
for you. My current phone, the Samsung A620, works okay. It has 3 alarms
with separate tones, so I can set them 10 minutes apart if I really need
to snooze.
But then again, I still have my Nokia 8890 (I can't seem to break up
with this baby, I wish more mobile phone companies use this phone as an
example of making new phones) which has multiple click snooze (that's
right! 10 minutes each time you click it, sometimes I set an appointment
which got postpone for 1 hour... I click it 6 times and it reminds me to
go to my appointment at the right time.)
Finally, for those who don't wake up easy while or while not traveling,
there are a nice selection of portable "travel" alarm clocks at Radio
Shack and a good number of department stores for prices that are so much
less than upgrading your phone to have such features on them. What else
can I say folks?
