Business Week Online today posted reviews of the Treo 600 and the
Hitachi G1000, both sold by SprintPCS.

They liked the Treo, hated the Hitachi:

I'm not seeing enough of an upgrade here to warrent spending $500+ on this
unit when the Trio 300 can be found with rebates for less than $300

I'm seeing a lot of issues with the Treo 300, reception, flip, horrific
    battery life..

It had great potential. Quick search for phonebook entries, good form
factor, good speakerphone, good UI, but none of those can stand up to
    the bads in my book.

If Sprint carrys the Treo 600, I hope the big issues were resolved.

If one mainly used it as a phone, battery life is acceptable, but
the battery is a sealed internal, so one can't carry a spare.

I had one for 2 weeks, when it lost signal in a fringe area, it would
never reaquire a Sprint signal, anywhere, without a reboot. No one at
Sprint or Handspring knew how to address that issue, so I returned it
within my 14 days (actually, since I had bought it from Handspring, I
    had 30 days).

At $99 (net after rebate some places now, its not a bad deal, as opposed
to the $499 I paid a year ago).

The Treo 600 doesn't have speaker phone functionality. I have seen
conflicting information about whether the Treo 600 will be directly
    available from Handspring.

The Treo 600 does have a speakerphone. And this one has a separate
speaker unlike the 300 which just boosted the volume from the regular
earpiece. The 600's speakerphone is supposed to be louder and sound
    better.

AFAIK the Treo 600 won't be available from Handspring, just from
carriers and perhaps retail stores like Best Buy, Costco, and Radio
    Shack.

Saw that crappy Hitachi in a Sprint store yesterday. Did not even bother to
touch it. The only thing could even be worse, might be that Toshiba.
