I can't remember what thread I was talking about new software releases=20
for the 4900 and the 5300, so I thought I'd simply post my=20
acknowledgment this way. Our software history spreadsheet does, in=20
fact, list new software releases for both phones effective 15 Sep.

If you seek out these new releases, and the tech says there isn't a=20
release, tell them to check the software version spreadsheet.

    O/sirus,

The dates you see is the date it was 'accepted', and does not always
    mean availablility.

These new software versions were put on the web install page on Wed.
(Sept 17th), and I usualy give stores a week to get it.

The Sanyo 4900 1.059 and Sanyo 5300 1.038 as well as the Sanyo 4700
1.113 updates fix a problem with a Virginia affiliate market's
equipment that could not be resolved through a PRL update.

Another of my frustrations with Sprint. Sprint apparently doesn't
release this information, so it becomes likely that some folks will run
to their Sprint store for an "upgrade" and find it making things worse
for their phone in their situation.

If this information was available (like Intel does for BIOS upgrades on
its motherboards), one would know what issues are addressed, and whether
one should rush out or not for the upgrade.

The updates for the 4900 and 5300 came out in the middle of last week,
and I usualy give stores until the end of the next week (this week) to
    be complaint.

The update for the 4700 was not available as of yesterday evening.
