Over here in Sprintpcs newsgroup we have a few SprintPCS apologists
telling how great Sprint is since the new consumer code. Strange, the
complaints keep getting posted, but they ignore those and keep patting
    themselves on the back.

    So I ask folks:

What changes has anyone seen in any Cellular Carrier since they
    "adopted" their consumer code.

    items:

    + Coverage maps seem as bad as ever, drawn by the marketing department;
SprintPCS just went to smaller scale maps on the web, worse than ever.

+ If one calls with a coverage problem,
its the user's fault never the cell companies

+ If a phone is not working correctly (i.e. not roaming) obviously
always user's fault "The Customer is always wrong"

+ If a model phone is problematic; never admit it, keep selling them.

Basically you're promised the moon, sold a cell phone, and then you are
a revenue stream, and customer service is a cost to be minimized, but
    advertising expenses keep going up.

I can't speak for everyone, but I now find that my libido is greatly
enhanced. I'm finding that I last a lot longer, and my wife is
completely happy. Can you believe *she* took out the trash last night?
All in all I think that the Consumer Code has really improved our
marriage. And I don't yell at the kids so much.

Actually, that's a misstatementPhillippe. What has been said that is
that most folks who have taken the time to post to that thread have
noticed an improvement with calling SPCS CS.

Has SPCS changed their maps yet? I don't think so. It takes time to
update maps, get them printed up in brochures and into the stores as
it does with all wireless providers.

After a few phone calls, that user also came back and said that the
    problem was resolved ...

Very curious, on how you keep attacking SPCS, but still using their
service. If I was as P.O.ed as you continually are, I'd be voting with
my dollars and switch service ...

I didn't know what to attribute it to, but I've noticed the same thing.
People hand out respect by the bushel when I'm around. Comp USA waived their
restocking fees for me, my laundry washes itself, and I kicked my nasty
fourteen year addiction to herion and crystal meth. All the money I spent on
booze, women and drugs now goes to outreach program in the inner city.

    Go Consumer Code!

They did change their maps onlone. For the worse. They are now smaller
scale, and harder to see any 2 or 5 mile area that could easdily be a
    swiss cheese hole.

Sprint has not said word one about plans for a compliant map. They
should not be bragging about agreeing to the code if they know their
maps are noncompliant, as the rest of us know.

It's a good sign that it took 5 phone aclls and a trip to a store before
    they got someone knowledgeable.?

You conviently ignore what you want to. Remember? I just got a retention
deal big enough to choke a horse.

    Sprint: Good Network, bad service.

Again, if you spend so much time complaining about SPCS, why in the
world would you stay with it?

You disagree quite often when others say they are happy with the
service they are receiving. It ticks you off to no extent to hear
someone who's satisfied. You are so dissatisfied, that you found the
need to create 6 different IDs, to get around those folks tired to
seeing your posts who applied filters to you.

BTW, so far you've officially plonked me twice. Guess that didn't
    stick either ... huhhh?

I believe those maps changed on line before SPCS agreed to the code,
but I'm not 100% sure. I checking those maps for my area though and
where I go, they are right on. They aren't up to date though, as I've
found coverage in areas which are listed as future coverage areas.

In my area, they also advertise coverage where it doesn't exist.

The map at sprintpcs.com is no worse than the map that Verizon
publicizes in its brochures. It's no worse than Western Wireless LLC
d/b/a CellularOne(West). I do have to admit they claim coverave in NW
ND and NE MT that does not exist, but that's not exclusive to SPCS.
Have you gone into a SPCS store to see what the maps they have hanging
on the wall look like? It's impossible to chart every inch of every
state. Plus, it's impossible to put a sperhical projection on a two
dimensional media. Until they start issuing globes with thier coverage,
their maps are just not going to be 100% accurate.
