Sprint (NYSE: FON ) announced today that it has ranked highest in
customer satisfaction among high-end data business users for the second
consecutive year in the J.D. Power and Associates 2003 Major Provider
Business Telecommunications Services Study(SM). Sprint ranked higher
than all other providers included in the study in all seven factors of
the study, with particularly strong results in sales
representatives/account executives, billing, company image, and
    offerings and promotions factors.

But if you accept this one, you also have to accept the JD Power study
of Customer Service for Retail cellular phones, where Sprint ranked last.

I don't really care where Sprint ranks with JD Power. How's that? And
people who rely on JD Power so much to tell them how they feel about
Sprint must have no real opinions of their own.

Posts like "Sprint's CS sucks and JD Power thinks so too" seem like you
have no opinion of your own, and you use that study to validate what you
    feel.

I personally have had some bad CS experiences with Sprint -- as well as
a few good ones... but I don't use JD Power or Consumer Reports as my
    backbone of debate.

I certainly *do not* doubt that people have horrible CS encounters, but
I don't try to discredit and challenge anyone who has good ones just
    based on JD Powers, either.

Sprint may care. A form letter I got from them today said:

J.D. Power Awards provide great information on the areas where a
company has strength and in areas where a company can improve and that
is valuable feedback for any business, including Sprint.

Sprint probably does indeed care about what JD Power says about them.
But that was referring to the landline operations, not the PCS side of
it. And for all anyone knows in here -- both the negative posters and
otherwise -- Sprint PCS is more than likely aware of their bad JD Power
ranking. And according to that letter, Sprint considers it to be
    valuable feedback.

My point was just that just because JD Power ranks Sprint last in
Customer Service, doesn't mean that everyone agrees with it. JD Powers
doesn't reflect every user in here. And everyone in here knows where it
ranked, so there isn't a real need to bring it up every other post,
unless you are just trying to start trouble. I don't deny where JD
Powers rankd Sprint as I have heard some horror stories about CS, and
have experienced a couple myself. But dismissing someone who does have
something good to say about Sprint as an "Apologist" is being completely
one-sided and not open to objective discussion.

I'm not telling anyone how to post, but repeating the old "JD Powers
ranked Sprint LAST" thing as your basis for all CS problems just is an
    easy out.

You know about my correspondance with Sprint? I don;t think so.

We were discussing all lines of Sprint business including Wireless.
Sprint sys they care. Now when they REALLY gonna do anything about it.

Saying "I dont care" is the worst excuse going.

What makes that an excuse? I wasn't making an excuse for anyone...
although it would be nice if someone was making an excuse for you.
That'd be one I'd like to hear.

It's just as good as when someone asks you about your 10-times-a-week id
changes, and you respond "Because I can."

Believe it or not, the world does not revolve around JD Powers and not
all Sprint users care about what that report says.

<<You know about my correspondance with Sprint? I don;t think so. >>

I didn't claim to know about your correspondance with Sprint, Mr.
Arrogant. But that article, according to what you posted, clearly
referred to the landline operations of Sprint.

<<We were discussing all lines of Sprint business including Wireless.
Sprint sys they care. Now when they REALLY gonna do anything about it.>>

Whether we were discussing it or not, the letter was in reference to the
landlane area of Sprint. I didn't disagree that Sprint cares about what
    JD Powers says.

It's obviously clear that you don't want to have a discussion unless it
is based around your negative, unhappy little one-sided world.

Goodbye, and no thanks for playing.
