Ok I called sprintpcs today to get some options added to my account and I
was inquiring about calling canada. The person I spoke to said that they
could change my plan to international plan which would be no extra charge
with the benefit of no extra long distance charges. Now orginally all I
knew of was a 12cent 3dollar addon and simlar offer another sprintpcs rep
told me about a while back. I was wondering if anyone has had any dealings
with this plan. I know sprintpcs addons/plans don't always make sense,
such as the 50min roaming buckets for 10dollars and the 50% roaming option
for 5, but this just seems to good to be true. I know some providers like
to milk international calling so really I'm just wondering if anyone else
knows about this plan and or has dealt with it.

    >=20

It's a bit of a leg pull there, but not completely. International=20
calling is, by default, disabled on SPCS phones. We've had too many=20
problems with fraud. So the *ability* to dial internationally is a free=20
add-on. It take about 5 days to actually work. We put it on, a=20
dedicated team does some examination of the account to verify it's not=20
looking like fraud, and then it's active.

But you still pay international rates. I don't know what that rep was=20
talking about with "no extra long distance charges." You pay some=20
pretty hefty per-minute charges to some countries. There's a $10/month=20
add-on that reduces those charges (as much as 75% to a few countries). =20
There are also special add-ons for Canada and/or Mexico.

    I work for SprintPCS
    I *don't* speak for them.

Well I have currently been calling to canada for 40cents a min. I didn't
ask for the option to do so but I guess because of canada's relation to
the us its area may not be treated as some other calls. As far as what the
rep told me I was doubtful as well but question after question came back
with the answers free addon(no cost to change that is), comes out of my
mins, and no extra per min cost. This is one of the reasons I'm asking
here because it just seems to dam good to be true. I am starting to make
more and more calls to canada sprint and an option like this plus the free
and clear america addon roaming option would lock me with sprintpcs and make
    me a very happy customer
