Do you engage in drunk dialing?

To the list of the unforeseen hazards that seem to plague the
information age, we can now add another: drunk dialing...when
intoxicated revelers flip open their cellphones and dial into regret.

Too often, the call is to an ex, usually to pronounce loudly that the
caller is over the breakup. Or to authority figures, including
parents.

Last month, after 95 percent of survey respondents admitted that they
drunk-dial, Virgin Mobile started offering a service to its Australian
customers prone to "dialing under the influence." For a small fee,
subscribers can enter a three-digit number and then the number they
want their phone to be blocked from dialing. The ban lasts until 6
o'clock the following morning.

Maybe folks with impulse control problems shouldn't be drinking at all?

Not so much drunk dialing unless I want to talk to my mom or sister,
nothing too silly or malicious. Sometimes I google myself the next
morning though to see if I engaged in drunk usenet posting.

Well, that's kinda the problem. If a guy can't control his impulses, how
can you stop him from drinking?

Hell, this is probably the most honest conversation these people have
ever had with one another!

That is very true! I drunk dial way too much. It's pretty sad that when
after a night of drinking, the first thing I do when I wake up in the
morning is check my phone and see who all I called and text messaged.

After our dogs got into a fight, my neighbor got drunk and emailed the
entire neighborhood about what an evil golden retriever I own. Then he
emailed me a gun threat. Both were signed (automatically) with his name
and title - SCHOOL PSYCHOLOGIST. Makes great reading at parties. Then
he apologized. Two weeks later he got drunk and emailed me some more.
Next day he apologized by email again. What a fun guy.

At least he apologized. Most dog owners whose rabid, slavering,
blood-crazed dogs get into fights all the time don't ever apologize.
I think that the dog owners should be put down right along with the
savage dogs that they are so proud of.
