    I shall be residing in the zip code 93518. Any way I can check whether I
    will be able to pick up the 1900mhz frequency?

    You may be lucky. It seems Bakersfield has both T-Mobile and Cingular
    1900MHz coverage. As you're slightly further east the coverage seems
    to get a bit more patchy. In saying that when I travelled from San
    Diego to Las Vegas I was surprised to find that there was 1900MHz
    coverage all the way!
