When ur phone is off and a user is trying to send a message to ur phone, what happens?

say my phone is off.some1 tries to send me a message.now, is the
message saved on my phone so that i can c it wen i sqitch it on or do i
never receive that message.thanks all for the reply

it will be routed to your phone. Note: The mesage will be kept there
only for a certain period of time, depending on carrier. If your phone
is not available to accept the message during that period, it will be
discarded, and you will still be charged for the message. That is, if
you pay for incoming messages.
