Re: New Moderators Wanted.
Any chance that the 100 post count could be waived provided the application meets acceptable criteria? I am new here but i'd love to be a part of a welcoming phone forum with people whose interests are aligned with mine.

Re: New Moderators Wanted.
I welcomed people here for a long time before I was suckered.....um...I mean, was asked to become a Mod.
There really isn't that much of a difference between a regular member and a Moderator except that sometimes you get 50 private messages asking for something totally ridiculous like the ability to ban somebody cause they said something you don't like...or the fact that we are mods and have some kind of super power to give them free things for their phones....or....and this is the big thing that gets all new Moderators....answering the same question over, and over, and over....did I say over......and over.
Besides that....we are all on basically the same playing field.
So please, if you feel like welcoming somebody new to the forum, and maybe answering their questions.....do so...and with our sincere appreciation....we need all the help we can get.

One of my friends from that site ... who is a brilliant guy and an employee of a major carrier ... was banned for pointing out that another carrier offered weak service. Several of us were SHOCKED that someone could be banned for criticizing a carrier's service especially when the personal attack flame posts on that site are so frequently out of control. When I "dared" to question why my friend (who posted terriific content) was banned, I was banned for daring to question the authority of the mod. I sent them a PM and told them to cancel my account. I've been here ever since.
CPF has a higher class of participants and classier mods. I hope that this continues. Sometimes growth can be its own worst enemy. Let's keep our fingers crossed that CPF always retains its higher standards.
